Feb. 20: What's Closed on Presidents' Day?

A rundown of things you should know on this presidential day in Syosset and Woodbury.

 

1. Government offices, the post office, banks and financial markets are all closed today in honor of Presidents' Day. The LIRR follows a holiday schedule with added trains. 

2. No school for Presidents' Week! The Syosset School DistrictOur Lady of Mercy Academy and St. Edward's School get the week off with a big thanks to Abe and George. Honor one founding father by heading over to nearby Roslyn for the Exclusive Long Island Showing of Washington's Crossing the Delaware.

4. Today we launch our Best Of series. Each week, we'll begin a list of the best places in Syosset and Woodbury and we'll ask you to give your nominees. 5. Keep the kids busy at the Syosset Public Library today:

2:30 p.m. Children's Movie: Dolphin Tale
7 p.m. Tech Buddies Training Session
