Good Friday and Weekend Services in Syosset

Here's a list of Easter weekend services in the area.

Syosset residents celebrating Good Friday today as well as Passover and Easter Sunday can head to a number of Syosset churches and Synagogues for scheduled services. Here's what they have planned:

Good Friday - St. Edward's has a number of services offered today:

  • 12 p.m.  Stations of the Cross with Deacon Ray.
  • 3 p.m. Liturgy of the Lord's Passion with Fr. Joseph Fitzgerald.
  • 7 p.m. Liturgy of the Lord's Passion.
  • 8:15 p.m. Living Stations of the Cross (held in the Auditorium)

Holy Saturday

  • 9 a.m. Morning Prayer with Fr. Tom
  • 8 p.m. Easter Vigil with Fr. Tom (This Vigil Service includes the Service of Light, The Liturgy of the Word, Baptism, Confirmation and the Liturgy of the Eucharist).

Easter Sunday

Masses will be held on Sunday from 7 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.

  • 12:30 p.m.
  • 1:45 p.m.

*At 11:30 a.m. Sunday, a special celebration of the eighth anniversary of the Dedication of the Church will take place.

Good Friday 

  • Services offered at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. today. 

Easter Sunday

  • Services will be offered at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Passover continues today and will end on Monday, April 25. Here are services offered at the Synagogue for the weekend:

  • Friday - Shabbat service at 8 p.m.
  • Saturday - Shabbat morning study at 9 a.m. and "service-in-the-round" at 10:15 a.m.
  • Sunday - Passover, religious school closed. 
  • Monday - Last day of Passover. Festival/Yizkor at 1:30 a.m. and Kiddush lunch at 12 p.m.
