Home Depot Stores Run Low on Storm Supplies

Generators, flashlights and batteries disappearing from store shelves.

Shoppers at Home Depot stores in search of flashlights, chainsaws, generators and batteries are already finding short supplies across the region.

“We’ve sold out of all generators,” said Commack store supervisor Miguel Pichardo on Wednesday evening.

As of Thursday, a store associate said the store had received an additional shipment of 10 generators Thursday afternoon and was sold out within 10 minutes of getting them.

The news is just as bad at Home Depot stores in Huntington, Deer Park, Smithtown, Riverhead, Central Islip, and Bayshore and Selden, where supplies of generators had run out as well.

The Commack location had also sold out of C and D batteries and flashlights as of Thursday afternoon.
