Hundreds Light Up for the Holidays

Syosset's 15th Annual Holiday Lighting Spectacular was a hit.

Residents turned out by the hundreds to celebrate the holidays at the 15th Annual Syosset Chamber of Commerce Holiday Lighting Spectacular.

Full of pizza from Mario's and Phil's, residents sipped cider from Stop & Shop as Master of Ceremonies Frank Urso of Long Island Village Realty took the crowd through the many blessings, speeches, and performances.

Nicole Rampanelli sang The Star-Spangled Banner as the colorguard from the Syosset American Legion stood at attention. Brooke Demitri, Stephanie Cohen, Sarah Sayage, and Danielle Trivelli got audiences singing and clapping with holiday hits.

After blessings from Rabbi Jay Weinstein of Simchat HaLev, and Father Tom Fusco of St. Edward the Confessor, Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor John Venditto congratulated Syosset and the Chamber on their success and perseverence.

Dance routines performed by The North Shore Performing Arts Center, the Martha Meredith School of Dance, and U Gotta Dance thrilled the audience.
