The Woodbury Stop & Shop enacted a waiting list for bags of ice due to the high demand after Hurricane Sandy.
Customer service representatives said that customers would have to wait at least until Thursday for the next ice shipment to come in before doling out bags of ice. Once the shipment comes in, there will be a limit of one bag of ice per family.
The store compromised for desperate customers, giving out free bags of unused pack ice from the seafood section.

Stop & Shop was one of many stores low on supplies after the storm. Dunkin Donuts reportedly closed early Tuesday after running out of supplies. Mario's Pizza slowly ran out of specialty slices, but made plenty of regular pies and slices for all.
