Jan. 2: New Year, Back to School

A rundown of events and reminders for Wednesday in Syosset and Woodbury.

1. Wednesday will be partly cloudy with temperatures peaking at 32 degrees. Bundle up!

2. Syosset School District, St. Edward the Confessor, and Our Lady of Mercy Academy reopen for regularly scheduled classes Wednesday.

3. OLMA's Alumnae Association meets at 7 p.m.

4. Events at Syosset Library:

  • 10 a.m. Baby & Me (Series 1)
  • 4:30 p.m. Lego Club (Series 1)

Be sure to call the library ahead as some events have limited capacities.

5. As we head into a new year, help us honor those who made a difference by voting for Syosset's most influential person of 2012 here.
