TGIF! Take a look at these "5 Things" we think Syosset residents should know for Friday:

  • Another beautiful day! Expect mid-80's temperatures and sunshine today and all weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
  • The final Harry Potter movie is out (midnight showings were last night). Check out Moviephone here for listings - the film is playing at the Broadway Mall in Hicksville all day, as well as AMC Loews in Huntington. The film is one of the best reviewed of the summer, with a 97 percent "fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
  • The is hosting a today from 2 to 4 p.m. Check out the event listing for more info.
  • The library is also showing the Michael Jackson Documentary today at 2 p.m. for free.
  • Volunteers are needed for this summer's St. Edwards Festival -
