June 10: LI Mac Users Welcome Apple

The biggest event of the year for the group takes place tonight.

Here's what you need to know for Friday:

  • Weather - it's going to cool down today, The National Weather Service says to expect temperatures of 80 degrees with a chance of thunderstorms. Expect rain on Saturday and Sunday.
  • The Long Island Mac Users group has its biggest meeting of the year tonight at 7 p.m. at NYIT. The group will have Dave Marra of Apple as their presenter - Dave is a senior systems engineer at Apple.  "He has always given a high powered and enlightening presentation," said Bill Medlow, President of the group, a Syosset resident and member of the Chamber of Commerce. "His great presentations are not to be missed and it usually runs past 9 PM." Stay with us for the story on the meeting, coming early next week.   • The holds a free screening of the film today at 2 p.m.
  • Today is prom for - congrats to all the seniors graduating, and have a fun and safe time tonight!
