Ladies See Red for Heart Health

Crest Hollow hosts luncheon celebrating survivors and raising awareness for the number one killer of women.

 

The room will be a sea of red Thursday for the ’s 11th Annual Long Island Go Red For Women luncheon in Woodbury.

The event at the Crest Hollow Country Club combines a luncheon reception, silent auction, networking opportunities and moving Long Island female survivor stories. It begins at 9 a.m. and runs to 2 p.m.

The Long Island Go Red For Women Luncheon will again feature educational breakout sessions presented by healthcare professionals, providing women with information, resources and hope to take action and live a longer, stronger life.

 are the No. 1 and No. 4 killers of Long Island women.  While 1-in-30 American women die of breast cancer, almost 1-in-3 will die from cardiovascular disease, organizers said.
