Here's what's going on Tuesday: 

  1. at the runs at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The group will discuss the book "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks." Call the library at 516-921-7161 for more info. 
  2. The in a 4:15 p.m. meet. 
  3. at the in Woodbury, 6 p.m. - This fundraiser is intended to raise awareness of the need for tax relief in New York State. Proceeds of the event will benefit the NYS Tax Relief Now's public education and legal defense fund. Hosted by Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy, Price for the fundraiser is $150; call 516-993-4056 for more info. 
  4. at , 7 p.m. Presented by John Halligan, who lost his son, Ryan, to suicide in 2003 at the age of 13.  At the time of his death, Ryan was a student at a middle school in Vermont, and  it was revealed after Ryan’s death that he was ridiculed and bullied by peers. This event is free and for all parents and students grades 5 and up.  
  5. Stay with Patch for stories updated throughout the day - we'll have the Syosset softball result from Monday, our next installment of "100 Things" as well as a story on an upcoming program at the Syosset Library.
