May 16: Game Night, Syosset Baseball Playoffs

Wondering what's going on in Syosset today? Look no further. This daily post will keep you up to date with all things going on in your town.

We like to post this every weekday to keep you up to speed. But we can use your help, too. Any user registered to the site can post an event to our calendar, our post an announcement such as a student making honor roll or an upcoming engagement.

Here's what you need to know today:

  1. We've got some bad news - expect rain almost all week long. The National Weather Service says Syosset residents can expect a chance of rain Monday with thunderstorms, then periods of drizzle after 2pm. Expect clouds, with a high near 67. East wind between 7 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Rain is expected Monday through Thursday - hopefully things will clear up by Friday.
  2. The Our Lady of Mercy softball team at 4:30 p.m.
  3. The Syosset Library will host "Game Night" tonight at 7 p.m. for kids from kindergarten to 5th grade.
  4. Were you at the annual and flower planting Saturday, hosted by Residents for a More Beautiful Syosset? Check back with us for the full story later today!
  5. The Syosset baseball team Saturday in the first round of the playoffs. They'll head to Calhoun Monday to begin the best-of-three series. Check back with Patch for coverage of the game. Let's go Braves!
