Here's what's going on today:

1. Happy Cinco de Mayo! Today we recognize and celebrate the Mexican heritage. It was on this day in 1862 that Mexican forces defeated the French at the Battle of Puebla, an unlikely victory for them. 3. Thehosts today from 5 to 9 p.m. Share your library stories and memories to help put together videos to help celebrate the library's 50th anniversary this summer.
4. You've seen the movie, but now you can see the play at Nassau Community College, starting at 8 p.m. The cost is $9, and $7 for seniors.
