Nassau County Parent-Teacher Association members and school principals will come together Monday in Woodbury.
The Presidents/Principals Dinner, held at Crest Hollow Country Club, will bring together educational leaders from across the region.
The dinner was originally scheduled for Nov. 19 but was postponed after Hurricane Sandy.
"With so many families and communities devastated by the storm, and out of respect for those suffering and in need, we feel it would be inappropriate to go forward with the dinner at this time," Director Laurie May wrote on their Facebook page Nov. 12.
According to the group, all other plans for the night remained the same. The organization had also postponed their Reflections contest in the wake of the storm.
The Nassau County Region PTA represents over 97,000 members, including parents, teachers, students, school boards, administrators, and more who advocate for education.
