A rundown of events and reminders for Friday in Syosset and Woodbury.
1. Friday will be mostly cloudy with temperatures peaking at about 43 degrees. Clouds will roll in at nightfall.

4. School reminders:
- Syosset elementary schools have a half day Friday, as parent-teacher conferences are from 12:45-3:15 p.m.
- Walt Whitman Elementary holds their PTA Talent Show in the gymnasium Friday.
5. Syosset Library hosts Current Events in Perspective with Professor Michael D'Innocenzo from 1:30-3 p.m. Call the library ahead as some events have limited capacities.
