Severe Thunderstorm Watch Through 2 p.m.

Batten down the hatches, Syosset. Severe thunderstorms are in the forecast until 2 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Nassau and Suffolk counties through 2 p.m. Monday. 

A line of rainmaking storms rolled through the Syosset area at 8 a.m. More are expected throughout the day.

In addition, there's a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the Long Island Sound.

Follow where the storms are headed via radar. Keep an eye out on traffic with Patch Commute's live traffic map.
