Syosset Friendly's to Host 40-Year Anniversary Celebration Wednesday

The restaurant chain will celebrate the mark by announcing a number of improvements and upgrades.

The Friendly's restaurant chain will celebrate 40 years of service on Long Island by announcing a number of upgrades, improvements and consumer initiatives at its 33 restaurants on Long Island Wednesday, starting at 11:30 a.m. at the  on Jericho Turnpike.

The announcements include the unveiling of special $4 menu available Monday through Thursday for four weeks in celebration of the 40 year milestone, as well as plans for the “Random Acts of Friendlyness” campaign, which will reward 20 unsuspecting customers each with $400 in cash in the coming weeks.

J&B Restaurant Partners currently owns and operates all 33 Friendly’s locations on Long Island. The company plans to open one additional restaurant each year over the next 10 years. It opened its most recent Friendly’s in Shirley, NY, in August 2010.

In addition to Friendly’s, J&B Restaurant Partners also operates all the state concessions at Jones Beach and Robert Moses State Parks, as well as the Top Flight Food Court at Nassau Community College.

Friendly’s 33 locations on Long Island include: Baldwin, Bay Shore, , , Copiague, Coram, East Islip, , East Northport, , Franklin Square, Hampton Bays, Hicksville, Lake Ronkonkoma, Levittown, Massapequa, Medford, Middle Island, Miller Place, Mineola, North Babylon, North Wantagh, Patchogue, Riverhead, Sayville, Selden, Shirley, Stony Brook, Smithtown, , Wantagh, and West Babylon.
