While most of us plan on spending summer 2012 kicking back at the pool or relaxing on the beach, Gene Connor has something else in mind that’s a bit more unique. The teacher plans on biking across the nation in order to raise money for children with cancer at Sunrise Day Camp.

School News

Out of the 1.5 million students who took the 2010 PSATs, only 22,000 from across the nation were named finalists. The 11 Syosset finalists are now in the running for state, corporate and college scholarships totaling more than $34 million.

Future Nobel Prize winners may very well be graduates from Syosset schools. Science Olympiads from ,  and  presented their projects to parents, teachers and administrators.

Country clubs and hotels in the area reported crimes ranging from cell phone theft and safe break-ins to smashed cars.

Rear door entry burglaries were reported again in the neighborhood, .
