Syosset Week in Review: Jan. 8-14

A look at the headlines and highlights of last week.

 

After months of no action, construction has finally begun on a new Panera Bread in Syosset. The popular eatery will open in med-February and occupy the former Dom & Luigi's Smokehouse Pizzeria. Panera Spokeswoman Kate Antonacci said that the new location will be operated by Doherty Enterprises, and that that opening is slated for mid-February.

Steven Kurnicki of Syosset is charged with petit and grand larceny after being caught stealing electronics and credit cards from cars, said Nassau County Police on Monday.

A Woodbury employee is being charged with grand larceny after allegedly stealing a $3,000 movie projector from his workplace and attempting to sell it online, said Nassau County Police.
