Tell Us: Syosset 'Triangle'

The Jackson Avenue Improvement Project was completed in late 2011, answering the prayers and pleas of many residents worrying about safety.

after the project's completion, the spotlight quickly moved to Jackson Avenue north of the Syosset LIRR, especially the "triangle" as residents call it.

Jackson Avenue and Underhill Road, two of Syosset's main thruways, intersect north of the LIRR crossing. With a single traffic light directing hundreds of cars every hour, the spot is a treacherous area for pedestrians and drivers alike.
