VIDEO: The Positives of the LIRR Smoking Ban
Two weeks after the ban takes effect, we take a look at the positive side of restricting smoking on LIRR platforms.
Commuters waiting on the platforms may hear the familar voices of celebrities like Joe Namath, Mike Lupica and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps reminding riders they can no longer smoke on the train platforms.
The smoking ban went into effect November 13.
