Pay respects at the newly dedicated World War II monument in Woodbury.
No need to travel to other towns in the area to . Drive down the street to the Woodbury Firehouse, where a newly dedicated World War II memorial sits.
The memorial, originally located at the old Woodbury School, was moved to the firehouse after members heard the school might soon be sold. members, representatives from the Syosset school board, members and families of veterans came to the rededication ceremony in October.
"It felt like we were reliving what happened," reminisced one veteran.

The monument sits in front of the Woodbury Firehouse on the western side on Woodbury Road.
