Renowned Author Maggie Anton to Speak at North Shore Synagogue in Syosset

Join North Shore Synagogue for an
evening with renowned author, Maggie Anton on Thursday, October 17. Wine and
Cheese reception at 7:00 p.m. Program begins at 7:30 p.m.  Ms. Anton will
be discussing, selling and signing her latest book at North Shore Synagogue.
Anton is the award-winning author of Rashi’s Daughters, historical
fiction novels set in the household of the great medieval Jewish scholar, whose
daughters studied Talmud when these sacred texts were forbidden to women. 
Her new series, Rav Hisda’s Daugther, takes place in Third Century Babylonia as the Talmud is being created. 
Come, learn, and discuss how Anton does her research and is inspired to write her
books. Co-sponsored by North Shore Synagogue’s Lifelong Learning Program and
the Sisterhood.  Admission for non-temple members is $18.  For more
