Legion Cookbook Sale to Benefit Veterans Hospital

The Syosset American Legion Post 175, 68 Berry Hill Rd. Syosset, will be holding a three day Cookbook sale, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 18 through Oct. 20 from 12 Noon - 8 p.m.

Over 5,000 cookbooks, with recipes from around the world, all in English, will be up for sale for under $5 each. The books were accumulated over many years by a woman who was in the cooking business. 

There are a few 'special edition' books that are from the late 19th century, that would most likely be a little over the $5 price. Three of these are cook books from the White House, circa 1890's.

There is also a Will Rogers Centennial Cookbook, of recipes given by U.S. State Governors. An additional book "The Betty Furness Westinghouse Cook Book will also be available.

All proceeds will be donated to the Northport Veteran's Hospital on Long Island.
