Throughout the month of November, the student council at Berry Hill Elementary School collected hats, gloves, scarves and other cold weather accessories to help those in need for its “giving tree.”
Members of the student council assisted in facilitating the drive and getting their classmates to donate. All items collected as part of the drive will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Third-graders wrote about how it feels when they give to others and what gift they
would give to someone else on paper apples, which were used to decorate the giving tree bulletin board in the main lobby.
