Purim is the Jewish celebration commemorating the destruction of the evil minister Haman. Jewish children and adults gather worldwide to celebrate with feasts, costumes, traditional foods and giving charity to the less fortunate.
will have a special service with the help of third graders at their Saturday service at 7 p.m. They shared this YouTube clip on their Facebook page about making the perfect Purim Hamantaschen, straight from a bakery in Israel.
On Thursday, TOBAY Chabad will host Purim at the Stadium for children. From 3:45 to 6 p.m., children will hear the megillah reading, masquerade in their sports themed costumes, feast on hot dogs and cotton candy, and get a free show from the hoop wizard. Those who want to attend must RSVP online.
