VIDEO: Simchat HaLev Celebrates Chanukah
Rabbi Jay Weinstein and his third grade congregants sing and celebrate the first night of Chanukah.
The first night of Chanukah was celebrated enthusiastically by third graders of the Simchat HaLev congregation in Syosset. Led in prayer and song by Rabbi Jay Weinstein, third graders and their families sang their favorite Chanukah tunes and learned some new ones at the community menorah outside Astoria Federal Savings.
Sixth graders will attend the second night's blessings on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and Rabbi Weinstein will be at the menorah every night at 4 p.m. for the entirety of Chanukah.
