Carchietta Now Experienced

Now in his second season on the Varsity level, Anthony Carchietta is off to a fast start for the Braves

A year older and a year wiser, junior attack Anthony Carchietta, is
ready to dominate.

Playing on Varsity as a sophomore last year Carchietta learned a lot during
Syosset's run to the Long Island championship game. Head coach John Calabria is
optimistic Carchietta will have a great season with a year of Varsity
experience under his belt.

"That experience will be very important for this year's team and how we
prepare for each game," Calabria said. "The offseason was spent
working on the little things that make you better. I am very happy with all of
the work he did this offseason."

Those little things included watching game tape, working out in the weight room
and stick work.

Through four games Carchietta has emerged as an assist machine for the Braves.
Carchietta has tallied already four assists and has helped the Braves win games
over Southside and Manhasset.

Carchietta, spoke about his impact on the team.

"The only way to take your game to the next level is to go out there and
give it all you have," Carchietta said. "We have a great group of
players in that locker room who make my job easy
