Feit Gives Braves Chance at County Title

The play of goal tender Ryan Feit will determine if Syosset Lacrosse can win a County Title.

The goal for the 2012 Syosset Braves Lacrosse team is simple: win a county title. The one seeded Braves have the right players in place to make this goal a reality. The Braves' fight for a title starts and ends with the play of their star goal tender, Ryan Feit.

Success is nothing new for Feit. The Johns Hopkins University bound, star Lacrosse player has had a boat load of it in his early Lacrosse career. For Feit, one thing that he wants to add to his accolades is a county championship.

“Our goal is to bring home a county championship," said Feit. "The players and coaching staff that we have give us a great chance to win it.”

Though still only a junior, Feit has already entered his fourth season playing at the varsity level. Feit understands that with the experience he has gained on the varsity level, it is up to him to make sure that everyone buys into Coach John Calabria’s system.

“Coach Calabria is a great coach. He has helped develop my game into what it is today. Under the direction of him, we have a great chance to win it.”

Feit is widely considered one of the best goalies in the nation. As he, goes the Braves go. Feit’s play in net gives Syosset a chance to win every single game.

“Feit’s experience, leadership, and skill set is what separates him from the rest of the goalies in the country," said . He comes up big when it counts and helps carry our defense and reminds us to have short term memory all the time.”

Making the big time play is nothing new for Feit. Teammates constantly talk about his leadership and his knack for making the big time save in the clutch.

Cornell University bound Feit’s leadership and communication skills out on the field are what make Feit that much better than the rest.

“He directs us and makes us clear on our defensive assignments," said Keith. "He is one of the best leaders and communicators I have ever met.”

With expectations being as high as they have ever been since Feit has been the starter, he understands that for the Braves to accomplish their goal, he has to be as good as advertised.

“There are no excuses for me. I have to play up to my ability. We have what it takes to do it and now we have to get it done. It is time for us to prove that we are not just hype.

For the Braves to be champions the road starts and ends with the play of Ryan Feit.
