MLB Hot Stove

MLB Hot Stove news.

Say goodbye to the Mets Cy Young winner R.A. Dickey as he goes to the Toronto Blue Jays, possibly the team to watch in 2013. The Mets are watching the dollar signs and are in a rebuilding mode. The Mets probably won’t be contenders for a couple of years, but are trying to do what’s best for the team. Also, Yankees fan favorite Nick Swisher has signed a 4-year, $56M deal with the Cleveland Indians. A little surprising that he would leave New York for Cleveland, but I guess money talks and people walk. In other MLB news, Josh Hamilton signs with the Angels for five years and $125 million. Ichiro resigns with the Yankees for two years, $13 million dollars. Here’s a look at players annual pay checks: 1. Alex Rodriguez, $27.5M 2. Josh Hamilton, $25M 3. Ryan Howars, $25M 4. Zack Greinke, $24.5M 5. CC Sabathia, $24.4M Until then, see ya at the park.
