HOME Is Where The Heart Is...

Over the years, I’ve enjoyed writing about the latest real estate trends especially how it affects us in our own community. I was born and raised here, so I take great pride, respect, and interest in our hometown. You can say I really do “live, work, and play” here...so it’s easy for me to feel very connected when I post real estate updates, sales data, and news about our ever changing  real estate market. 

Although this post has to do with housing it’s more about how we simply change one word, ‘house’ to a more meaningful word such as ‘home.’

During the holiday season it can be a little overwhelming and stressful. As we run around trying to find the right gifts, decorate the house, entertain, we sometimes lose sight of the real meaning, AND what a house truly means overall. While a house may be our shelter made of cement, wood, sheet rock, etc...but what really makes a house a home?

It’s a place where WE create some of our best memories which makes our homes truly special. It’s where we can be ourselves, find solace, refuge, comfort, and most of all share moments with those we care about. We celebrate all kinds of milestones and events that keep us connected. These are the great memories that can stay with us for a lifetime.

Houses will always come and go on the market.  It’s what you do with it that makes it the special home it can be, creating those wonderful memories...

That’s the power of what a home can do.
