Get Out! Weekend Planner: May 18-20

Veterans retell history, giving animals hope, and spinning for Susan G. Komen this weekend.


Watch theater students perform in their last gig of the school year.
When: Fri. and Sat., 7:30 p.m.
Where: Syosset High School
Price: Free


Teens will interview local veterans and civilians who contributed in war efforts. Come jumpstart the project at the reception! Refreshments will be served.
When: Sat., 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Have old latex paints, drain and oven cleaners, car batteries, or wood preservatives and don't know where to dispose them? Come to the TOBAY Public Works Saturday! Check out the PDF of TOBAY's brochure attached on the right of the screen to see what you can bring!

Come support this widespread animal shelter for rescued cats and dogs! All proceeds go to Last Hope and their programs, like Fix-A-Feral.
When: Sat., 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Price: Free admission


Come spin to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Teams will compete in a relay to raise money for the cause.
When: Sun., 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Where: Ellen's Fitness Studio, Plainview
Price: Free, plus funds each team raises
