A Syosset man faces drunken boating charges after being stopped in a Massapequa canal for speeding Monday.

Douglas Mandresh, 51 of Syosset, was stopped at about 4:50 p.m. Monday by Bay Constable John Schmidt in Jones Creek in Massapequa.

A 15-year-old was seriously injured when his Go Kart collided with an SUV Monday night.

According to Nassau County detectives, the teen was riding in a Go Kart in Oyster Bay Cove at about 7 p.m. Monday night.
