Greetings from the SuperNutritionist

An introduction from new blogger and nutritionist Madeleine Berg, MS, RD, CDN.

I have been a nutritionist for over 25 years and have earned nutrition degrees from both Cornell and NYU. But most of my clients are not impressed with my book smarts.  They seem much more impressed with my personal fitness. I'm OK with that. I hope to use this blog to pass on all that I know about eating right and staying fit. Even if the experts can't agree on what a "perfect" diet is, almost everyone agrees that the majority of the country would benefit from eating less and moving more.

When it comes to staying fit, there are no shortcuts.  There are no pills you can take or shakes you can drink that can do the hard work for you. The truth is every second of every day you are faced with decisions that will effect your overall fitness. Eating right doesn't just happen. You need a plan or as the cliche goes, plan to fail.

Most of you reading this blog will fall into two camps. The first camp are the people who are already doing everything right and just want to make sure. The second camp are the people who have "tried everything" and nothing works. I look forward to hearing from you.
