Owen Traynor Dies at 80
Syosset man was past Grand Knight of Our Lady of Mercy Joseph Lamb Council.
Owen Traynor of Syosset died on Oct. 19 at age 80.
He was husband of Mary, father of Marion, Kevin (Laura), Kathy Holden (Richard) and Noreen McLaughlin (Thomas), grandfather of ten, and brother of Ellen and Kathleen of County Louth, Ireland, according to his obituary on Newsday. He was also the Past Grand Knight of the Our Lady of Mercy Joseph Lamb Council 5723 in Plainview.
Visitation will be held at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes, 47 Jerusalem Ave., Hicksville on Monday and Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. A mass will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church in Plainview where Traynor was once a Grand Knight of the Joseph Lamb Council 5723.
Traynor will be buried at Holy Rood Cemetery.
