Forgotten Friends of Long Island

I know I usually write about puppy mills, or the shelter I have been with for the past 2 years but I would also like to share the spotlight with another shelter I am involved with. This shelter is Forgotten Friends of Long Island, we are located in Levittown NY. Forgotten Friends is a new shelter that just opened so we only don't have that many dogs, but we are hoping to expand and save as many dogs as possible. Forgotten Friends and Last Hope are both animal shelters that are privately owned, and non profit. We are also in desperate need of volunteers at Forgotten Friends.
As I said we are a very small shelter but we are all on the same page and all have the same goal in mind. In my opinion, volunteering at animal shelters is a great way to give back to your community. It is also a great way to keep your kids on the right track. As I shared once before, when I first started volunteering at Last Hope I wasn't in the greatest mental state, however, thanks to these amazing animals I saw how much they have been through, and much they are just life savers. Its sorta hard to explain, but these animals saved my life. So if you aren't doing anything, and your looking for a place that will change your life forever, come on down to Forgotten Friends of Long Island.
