GEORGI VODKA AT FDNY BOXING MATCHES

On Thursday, March 6th 2014, there was a fantastic local and international boxing match that took place at Webster Hall in New York City featuring some of our bravest from NYC against many of the toughest Police that Ireland has to offer. 

The beautiful and world renowned Georgi Girls served as ring girls and as VIP hostesses for the event, which lasted until midnight at the venue, and then continued into the wee hours of the morning at Nevada Smiths down the road. Georgi Vodka and the Georgi Girls are involved with many boxing and other entertainment related events throughout the year.

The card included hard fought matches between FDNY vs. Dublin "Downtown Donnybrook", FDNY vs. Irish Garda Boxing National Police and more. Results were not immediately available. The FDNY team will head to Dublin this October for another night of fights. Members of the two departments have previously fought at the World Police and Fire Games. 

Funds raised from the event will benefit Building Homes for Heroes, a group which helps severely wounded veterans and their families rebuild their lives.Each year, the FDNY boxing team competes in several amateur boxing matches against other Fire Department and Police Departments from around the world. In the past several years, the FDNY Bravest Boxing team has donated over $50,000 to military related charities.

The Bravest Boxing team consists of FDNY members who train for their grueling matches on their own time and live by the motto that they’ll fight "anyone, anywhere, anytime, as long as it’s for a good cause!"
