Happy Hour Specials: Mim's

Enjoy discount drinks throughout the week at this favorite local eatery.

is a neighborhood staple in Syosset and has been for a number of years. The restaurant is perfect for a light lunch, cozy dinner or celebrating a special event.

Aside from ideal sit-down meals, Mim’s also offers great drink specials, that can come with or without food at the bar.

Happy Hour is hosted at Mim’s Monday through Friday, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. During Happy Hour, all drinks are $1.50 off. The eatery has a very extensive wine selection (ask your bartender to see their newest list), and the staff encourages guests to take advantage of the different varieties.

The best time to sample the wine at Mim’s is on Wednesday – or “Wine Down Wednesday” as the restaurant likes to call it. Come in on Wednesday nights and enjoy any bottle of wine for half price. This is a great deal, especially for a restaurant with so many exclusive wine selections. “Like” Mim’s on Facebook to find out what wines are currently being suggested; Sokol Blosser Evolution was noted on the page last month.

If you are going to take advantage of Mim’s Happy Hour, make sure you ask to see the bar menu. Items on the menu are offered at half price when you order a cocktail at the bar between the hours of 12:00pm and 7:00pm. Keep in mind that the bar menu at Mim’s is not your usual buffalo wings and burgers. Try their three-cheese spinach and artichoke fondue, tuscan calamari or meatball parmesan sliders.

When you frequent a neighborhood restaurant, you become accustomed to going there at certain times and for specific dinners (pizza on Fridays, for example). Mim’s is a great local spot that offers wonderful drink (and dining) deals throughout the week, so take advantage of their specials and drop by on any night you choose.

For instance, critical thinking is not about finding fault with people who make noise by using leafRead More blowers, but about an in-depth thinking of goals and values we will achieve by limiting their use. People could earn more quality life and peace of mind by having quiet time in the early morning and the late evening. The value of mental peace is regarded crucial in our life. Critical thinking gives us a process of thinking to get into the depth of the problem. It begins with an analysis of the situation (structure, background, or setting), in which the information of when, where, and who is identified. The information may help set up seasonal differences in restricting hours of leaf blower operation. Further thinking will lead critical thinkers to note the implication of the new ordinance to the business of licensed landscapers. Also, critical thinkers may think about the development of a soundproof leaf blowing machine. Critical thinking helps us to increase and share our common values, rather than tries to find faults with people who make problems.
