Vote "4" Bill Weiner for Syosset School Board

To the Syosset School District community,

I'm proud to formally endorse Bill Weiner for School Board Trustee today. As you may know, Bill has one impressive resume. Along with his accomplished financial background, Bill is an extremely active volunteer here in the Syosset School District. He is the Chairperson of the Finance Committee, a most involved P.T.A. member at both the elementary and secondary levels (including SEPTA) and the immediate past President of one of our local community civic associations.

Bill possesses the professionalism, knowledge and skills that would enable him to immediately step in to the position of School Board Trustee. I am certain that he would assume that role flawlessly, without any disruption to the Board's responsibilities. What's more, I have no doubt in my mind that the Syosset School Board would be vastly improved by having him as a member. It should be noted that Bill's children will be attending our schools for the next eight years. While he clearly has our students' interests at heart, he will also be fiscally responsible.

When we ran for the School Board last year, our campaign focused on much needed change. I am pleased with most of the changes that have been enacted since then. Most important of which have been the long awaited transparency that now exists, the open communication between the Board, Administration and the public, and the seamless integration of our wonderful interim Superintendent. I firmly believe that these and other essential changes would not have been implemented unless the voters had spoken at the polls the last two election cycles. Our community has sent a message that enough is enough with the old ways. As a result, the majority of our School Board members have been in place for less than two years. Let's continue the changeover that Syosset has been demanding and elect Bill Weiner as Trustee of the Syosset School Board on Tuesday, May 20, 2014.
