3-Car Collision Halts Jericho Turnpike

One victim sent to hospital in Thursday afternoon Syosset crash.

A three-car accident halted traffic on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset Thursday afternoon. One person was sent to the hospital.

At about 2:30 p.m., a white sedan collided with a white minivan on Jericho Turnpike in front of the former Borders bookstore. The front of the white sedan was crushed and the airbag had deployed.

The sedan and van were towed away. A third car, a maroon sedan, was also involved.

No one involved was seriously injured. One victim was transported to a nearby hospital. Police have not yet reported a cause of the accident.
