Three people were hospitalized after being involved in an accident in Woodbury Thursday morning.
and Nassau County Police responded to a call on Woodbury Road at Sunnyside Boulevard in Woodbury at 10:34 a.m. A beige sedan and a dark blue SUV had collided and the force of the collision had sent the SUV off the road, sheering off a fire hydrant and striking a tree.
Two people in the SUV were injured and one in the sedan. All three were transported to Nassau University Medical Center by Syosset ambulances. Fire officials said all injuries were minor.
The cause of the accident has not yet been reported.
