Accident Injures 3 on Jericho Turnpike

Police say one hospitalized, three injured in Friday night crash.

Three people were injured and one hospitalized in a car accident on Jericho Turnpike Friday.

Nassau County Police confirmed that at about 10:20 p.m. Friday, units responded to Jericho Turnpike east of Woodbury Road to a reported accident.

Detectives said the crash injured three people, one of which was sent to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

Police could not confirm how many cars were involved in the wreck.Units closed the eastbound lanes of Jericho Turnpike in the Crest Hollow Country Club area as crews secured the area.

A cause of the accident was not confirmed.

Roads were reportedly reopened at 11 p.m.

Would be helpful if u reported-if seat belts were worn in car accidents especially when injuries occur and if smoke alarms working in fires
