Area Businesses Hit by Rash of Thefts

Crime Report: Grand larcenies reported at Omaha Steaks in Plainview, Broadway Mall, CVS Jericho.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Second Precinct of the Nassau County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Several area businesses reported crimes of theft committed in their stores in the past week. Home burglaries, however, continue their downward trend in the Plainview and Syosset area.

The Second Precinct reported the following crimes:

April 18: Grand Larceny; East Marie St., Hicksville: Auto Stolen.
April 19: Burglary; Whitebritch lane, Jericho: Jewelry Stolen.
April 20: Burglary; Holman Blvd., Hicksville: 4 Bottles of liquor stolen.
April 20: Grand Larceny; Broadway Mall, Hicksville: Wallet, cash credit cards stolen.
April 21: Grand Larceny; Omaha Steaks, Plainview: Cash stolen.
April 22: Grand Larceny; Pond Path, Woodbury: Pocketbook stolen.
April 20: Criminal mischief: Mercy First, Syosset: Black marker, spray paint. (A juvenile was arrested in connection with this incident.)
April 22: Grand Larceny: Boblee Lane, Hicksville: Auto stolen.
April 22: Criminal mischief: Laidlaw Bus Co., Hicksville: Windows damaged.
April 21: Criminal mischief: Jay Dee Transportation, Hicksville: Rock thrown through bus window.
April 22: Grand Larceny: CVS Jericho: 44 bottles of perfume stolen.

April 9: Jason Hurtes, 25, charged with petit larceny, Target, Broadway Mall, Hicksville.
April 20: Dennis O'Connell, 22, charged with petit larceny, Target, Broadway Mall, Hicksville.
April 23: Inga Giguari, 39, charged with petit larceny, Macy's, Broadway Mall, Hicksville.
April 23: Daniel Hauk, 19, charged with petit larceny, Broadway Mall, Hicksville.
April 24: Shawn Anthony Rodriguez, 28, charged with robbery, North Broadway, Hicksville.
April 24, Luis Ball, 42, charged with petit larceny, Home Depot, Jericho.
