Brooklyn Men Charged in CVS Heist

Jericho store on Broadway targeted; two arrested in parking lot.

Two Brooklyn men were arrested in a CVS parking lot after police say they stole $462 worth of merchandise from the Jericho drug store Thursday night.

The Bureau of Special Operations said the two men were spotted at 8:45 p.m. placing the items into a duffel bag and leaving the store without paying. Workers at the CVS, located at 417 N. Broadway in the Whole Foods plaza just over the Hicksville line, contacted police.

As the men tried to get away in a 2013 Nissan Altima, officers approached the pair in the parking lot and placed them into custody without incident.

The investigation revealed each defendant was in possession of a gravity knife police said.

Defendants Feliks M. Veyberman, 48, of Ocean Parkway Brooklyn, and Anatoliy Mitrofanov, 50, of West St. Brooklyn, were each charged with petit larceny, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of stolen property and possession of burglar tools.
