Cops: 120 MPH Drunk Driver Stopped on LIE

Bronx man charged with DWI, reckless endangerment.

A Bronx man faces DWI and reckless driving charges after he was pulled over early Saturday morning for driving at high speeds on the LIE.

At 2:28 a.m. Saturday, a highway patrol officer clocked a 1999 Acura driving 120 miles per hour westbound on the LIE near exit 40. It took the officer six miles to stop the Acura, driven by Mychal J. Ferguson, 23 of the Bronx, who was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested without incident, said the report.

Ferguson was charged with first degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving, driving while intoxicated, and several other vehicle and traffic law infractions, said police. He was arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
