Cops: 2 Burglaries in Syosset, Woodbury

Six others reported in one week in Syosset area, police said.

Cash and copper were proceeds in two burglaries in Syosset and Woodbury this week, according to Nassau County Police.

Second Precinct officers reported eight burglaries in the area within one week.

In Syosset, a Preston Lane home reported cash stolen in a break-in through their rear door. One Woodbury Road in Woodbury, copper piping, radiators, and a water heater were reported stolen.

The Second Precinct reported the following incidents:

  • July 10: Burglary; Idaho Avenue, North Massapequa; front window pushed in, nothing reported stolen.
  • July 11: Burglary; Border Street, Hicksville; site ransacked, assorted jewelry stolen.
  • July 11: Burglary; ACLD School, Bethpage; rear door pried open, nothing taken.
  • July 12: Burglary; Sheperd Lane, Levittown; break-in through rear window, nothing taken.
  • July 13: Burglary; Woodbury Road, Woodbury; copper pipes, radiators, water heater stolen.
  • July 14: Burglary; Preston Lane, Syosset; rear door pried open, cash stolen.
  • July 14: Burglary; Wireless Products, Hicksville; cellphones stolen.
  • July 15: Burglary; Berry Hill Road, Oyster Bay; laptop, keyboard, speakers stolen.
