Cops: 7 Burglaries Reported

Second Precinct reports commercial, residential break-ins near Syosset.

Seven burglaries were reported by police last week in the Syosset area.

Nassau County Police reported three commercial and four residential break-ins around the Second Precinct within one week.

In Hicksville, Sakana Chinese & Japanese Cuisine was burglarized two days in a row, according to reports. Sushi and cash from a register were stolen Feb. 7 while alcohol, cooking oil, and cash were taken Feb. 8.

The Second Precinct reported the following burglaries:

  • Feb. 7: Sakana Chinese & Japanese Cuisine, Hicksville; sushi, cash from register stolen.
  • Feb. 8: Sakana Chinese & Japanese Cuisine, Hicksville; alcohol, cooking oil, cash stolen.
  • Feb. 10: South of the Border, Levittown; cash stolen.
  • Feb. 11: Felice Lane, Plainview; rear glass break, nothing taken.
  • Feb. 11: Haypath Road, Bethpage; front door attempt, nothing taken.
  • Feb. 12: Opal Drive, Plainview; jewelry, medications stolen.
  • Feb. 12: Staples, Jericho; laser printer stolen.
