Cops: Burglaries and Stolen Cars Reported in Area

Recent incidents reported in the Second Precinct.

Nassau police reported multiple burglaries and car thefts in the second precinct over the past week.

  • On Oct. 23, cash and handguns were stolen when a thief broke into the attic window of a home on Cherry Lane in Syosset. The homeowner was asleep when he was awoken by the sound of the thief in his bedroom. The thief escaped out the front door with the contraband. 
  • An attempted break in was reported on Oct. 24 on South Marginal Road in Jericho. 
  • Cash was stolen from the register at the Blue Angel Diner in Plainview on Oct. 26 and Jani restaurant in Hicksville on Oct. 24
  • A 2013 BMW was stolen from Woodbury Farms Road in Woodbury on Oct. 27
  • A 2006 Mitsubishi was stolen from Ellen Place in Jericho on Oct. 26
  • A 2012 BMW was stolen from Eagle Chase in Woodbury on Oct. 28
Other incidents reported in the second precinct:
  • An iPad and a handbag were stolen from cars at Holy Trinity High School in Hicksville on Oct. 29
  • Multiple incidents of malicious car damage were reported in South Farmingdale on Oct. 23. on Meadowwood Lane, Oakwood Avenue, Colonial Drive, and Fallwood Parkway.
