Cops: Electronics, Sports Equipment Stolen from Cars

Seven cars in Second Precinct broken into, according to police.

Electronics, sports equipment, and catalytic converters were taken from cars near Syosset, according to Nassau County Police. 

Cops reported that seven cars in Hicksville, Bayville, Jericho, and Levittown were burglarized. 

In nearby Jericho, a tennis bag, golf clubs, and a baseball glove were taken from a car May 3  on Whitebirch Lane. 

Also nearby, 16 catalytic convertors were stolen from a car on Old Country Road in Hicksville May 7, cops said. 

The Second Precinct reported the following incidents: 

  • May 1: Petit larceny; Grape Lane, Hicksville; iPhone stolen from car. 
  • May 1: Grand larceny; Roosevelt Avenue, Bayville; wallet, credit card stolen from car. 
  • May 2: Petit larceny; Po Lane, Hicksville; iPhone charger, Sirius radio receiver stolen from car. 
  • May 3: Grand larceny; Whitebirch Lane, Jericho; tennis bag, golf clubs, baseball glove stolen from car. 
  • May 4: Petit larceny; Miller Ale House, Levittown; Hofstra backpacks stolen from car. 
  • May 4: Grand larceny; Celestial Lane, Levittown; assorted tools, power washer stolen from car. 
  • May 7: Grand larceny; Old Country Road and MacCalester Avenue, Hicksville; 16 catalytic converters stolen from car.
