Cops Hunting Bank of America Robber

Perp appeared to have gun in Syosset bank holdup, cops said.

Nassau County Police have released a surveillance photo of a man who held up a Syosset bank Monday.

Cops said the man pictured above walked into Bank of America on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset and demanded money from a teller at 2:10 p.m. He showed what looked like the butt of a gun to the teller during the robbery, police said. 

The 47-year-old female teller handed over an unknown amount of cash and the robber fled the scene, police said.

Ten employees and four customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery. None were reportedly injured.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crime or the robber to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
