UPDATE: Police Seek Leads in Jericho Bomb Threat

Bomb threat to 911 prompts evacuation of Cablevision Building in Jericho. All clear now.

Employees are back in a Cablevision-owned building after a bomb threat was called in Friday, prompting an evacuation, Nassau Police said.

Detectives said an unknown caller dialed 911 at 9:52 a.m. and reported there were bombs located at 200 Jericho Quadrangle, the home of the offices of Cablevision Lightpath. Second Precinct police officers, the Canine Unit and Emergency Services Unit responded to the location.

The building was evacuated and an extensive search conducted, police said. No devices were located and the building was reopened about 1:15 p.m.. No injuries were reported.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.

“The safety of our employees is our paramount concern," Cablevision said after the evacuation ended. "We have cooperated fully with the authorities."
